About the deck
The CN Tower LookOut Level at 346 metres is the main observation deck of Toronto's iconic telecommunications tower. The deck includes both enclosed glass galleries and an outdoor observation terrace. The signature feature is the Glass Floor - a series of transparent panels set into the floor, offering a direct view down the exterior face of the tower to the streets 346 metres below.
The tower anchors the Toronto lakefront and commands views across Lake Ontario to the south and the flat Ontario plain in all other directions. The revolving 360 Restaurant operates at a similar elevation..
The honest take
The CN Tower is a broadcast tower, not a skyscraper, but it delivers the observation deck function with straightforward efficiency. The Glass Floor sections are among the more convincing glass floor installations globally - the panels are large enough and positioned directly above the exterior face, removing any sense of a safety net below. The LookOut Level at 346m is the main ticket; the SkyPod at 447m adds noticeably more sky.
